Scaled Transitional
This home explores modern simplicity through proportion and scale—where volume and balance shape the experience.
Inside, a clean, bright backdrop allows form to lead. Maximizing the generous kitchen footprint, an oversized island was custom designed to offer seating along two sides, anchoring the kitchen as a true gathering space. In the primary suite, a thoughtful plan rework improved the use of space without adding square footage, creating room for an expansive shower and dedicated his-and-hers vanities.
A tone-on-tone approach guides the material selections, intentionally soft and restrained to keep proportion and scale in focus. Neutral two-tone cabinetry creates interest without complication, while a sheetrock hood surround keeps the composition airy and uninterrupted. In the living room, an alcove was designed to house built-in cabinetry, finished as a single integrated element, adding storage without introducing visual weight.
Throughout, the design remains deliberate: crisp but never cold, simple but never boring, and spaces that feel generous without feeling overdone.
