Layered Craftsman
The goal for this project was to layer a lighter, more relevant palette into this Craftsman home, shifting away from the heavier finishes often associated with this style. Designed as a builder spec home, the design needed to remain market-aware—appealing to a broad audience while still offering something distinctive. The approach focused on finding a careful balance between maintaining familiarity and introducing current influences, creating a design-forward home while staying grounded in the traditional framework of the Craftsman style.
Blonde woods and white walls were used to create negative space, giving contrast a more intentional role through black accents, playful patterns, and touches of gold. Design decisions centered around moving beyond more expected choices, giving the home a stronger sense of identity and a more considered overall presence
